About The Movement
THE PURPLE PARADE, inaugurated since 2013, is a unifying national platform to promote awareness and celebrate abilities of Persons with Disabilities. The core of The Purple Parade movement seeks to ensure that Persons with Disabilities are included in the main chapter of Singapore’s growth and have equal access to education, employment, transport and social networks.
The vision is for the spirit of the movement to continue for many more years to come; and for Persons with Disabilities to be fully included, valued and celebrated in Singapore.
It is a ground-up movement spearheaded by various organisations from the People, Public and Private, and supported by the Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC) and The Purple Parade Limited (TPPL).
