Speaker Introduction:

Opening Address – Dr Mihály Patai, Deputy Governor of the Hungarian National Bank (HNB)

Dr. Mihály Patai is a vice president of the Hungarian National Bank (HNB), responsible for the digital banking services and related fields at the HNB. He is also the President of the Hungarian Banking Association. Formerly he was Chairman and CEO of UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt. for 13 years and a Chairman & CEO of Allianz Hungária Biztosító Rt. Dr. Patai holds a university doctorate in economics.

Opening Address – Peter Sasi

Peter Sasi is the Founder and CEO of Multipass Solutions, championing mid- and back-office transformation for traditional financial institutions, having led the expansion of the company into Asia. He is also founding Board member of the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Singapore where one of his primary objective is fostering FinTech cooperation. Besides “traditional” FinTech he is also working on digital asset compliance solutions connecting the word of tokens and smart contracts to the real world financial and legal compliance frameworks. His MSc is from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Moderator – Dea Markova

Dea Markova is a Senior Programme Manager in the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) FinTech and Innovation Group where she designs and executes programmes and platforms to support the development of Singapore’s FinTech Ecosystem, and FinTech investments in particular. Prior to MAS, Dea led Strategic Programmes for the UK FinTech Trade Association, Innovate Finance, focusing on open innovation and scaling FinTech propositions. She has a background in prudential and capital markets regulation, and degrees from the London School of Economics and Bryn Mawr college in Regulation, Politics and Economics.

 

Panelist – Sonia Wedrychowicz

Sonia Wedrychowicz is a thought leader in Digital Banking and Technology Transformation, with 25 years of experience in financial services and technology. She has worked in major banking organisations – Citibank, Standard Chartered, DBS and JPMorgan Chase in Europe, Asia and the US in transactional and consumer banking. Sonia is a renowned keynote speaker at over 50 conferences around the world, She has been Adjunct Professor at the National University of Singapore and delivered lectures to students at the MIT, Stanford University, Warsaw School of Economics and Singapore Management University.Sonia holds a Master’s degree in Foreign Trade from Warsaw School of Economics and a BA in European Business Studies from Brunel University in London.

 

Panelist – Ivan Vatchkov

Ivan has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry as a research analyst, CFO office executive, investor and board member. He has spent the last 10 years in Singapore, investing in Asian financials and fintech companies at leading global hedge funds. Prior to that, he was a technology and banks research analyst at Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse, as well as a special
projects director working for the CFO of Credit Suisse in London, Zurich and New York. Ivan is member of the Young Global Leader community at the World Economic Forum and operates Reachout.BG, a charity working to provide education access to children deprived of parental care in Bulgaria.

Panelist – Matej Ftacnik

Matej is the CXO & Co-Founder of VacuumLabs, a team of 200+ experts in building fintech products & services. They worked on technology projects  for companies like Railsbank, Twisto, Erste Bank, Standard Chartered and many others. They organize regular meetups, workshops, hackathons and conferences about modern front-end technologies. Their flagship event is the ReactiveConf, which hosts more than 60 speakers and 1300+ attendees from all over the Europe every year.
